I have recently completed the booking process, and I must say, the entire experience was smooth and very professional. Upon securing the reservation, I was asked to pay a deposit, which was completely reasonable and handled seamlessly. I received an instant confirmation email, and shortly after, the captain reached out to me directly to introduce himself. I also received a proper invoice, which I truly appreciated as it reflects the level of their service.
For the meeting point, I selected Eminönü Pier as it was conveniently close to my hotel. The captain was in touch with me via WhatsApp and we met precisely at the agreed location, without any confusion.
Additionally, I had pre-booked two dinners for our cruise. The captain contacted me through the GetTurkeyTour platform to discuss menu options. Their system allowed for direct communication with the captain, which made the entire process efficient and personalised.

Fantastic private tour! We covered all the biblical highlights: Library of Celsus, Artemis Temple ruins, House of Mary. Our guide answered every question and made the ancient city’s mix of faith and architecture fascinating. Transport was punctual and the pace ideal.
Semih, our guide, and Can, our driver, gave us a wonderful tour of ancient ruins at Pergamon. Both the health site of Springwater, baths, small theater, and library; and the hill top ruins of temples, castle rooms, walls, and theater were included. Semih is so knowledgeable on the history and geography of the sites. His commentary both at the sites and on the road made for a rich and enjoyable day. Great accommodations made for our food allergies at lunch. I highly recommend this tour.
Polat was a fabulous guide, Serkan was our driver- the van was very comfortable and the driving made us feel safe. We were so happy to not be in our cruise ship’s excursion with 25-30 people. There were just the two of us, we could stop where we wanted and take our time. The place we had lunch was exceptional. I would highly recommend this company. I liked them so much from back in 2024 when I used them for the first time in Kusadasi and Istanbul.
Polat was our guide was incredible!! He was so hilarious and charming and we enjoyed the history he told us as well as the information about the city and culture. Pick up from the port was very easy, and our transportation was nice. Ephesus & the Library were so amazing to see and having the guide to tell us the important things really helped understand the area and make it more impactful. Thank you to Polat!
This was an astonishing 2-day tour – we had such a short time in Turkey, (only four days – we’ll definitely be back!) so we wanted to get the most out of it. We had a driver included, so were able to cover a lot of ground, very comfortably, in this geological and historical wonderland. Our tour guide in Cappadocia, Aykut, was kind, humorous, always interesting and very, very knowledgeable; and showed us a delightful variety of places – all of them wonderful, and – thanks to him – accessible. We couldn’t possibly have seen as much on our own – nor would we have been as well-informed. We stayed in a so-called “MDC cave hotel”; cool and comfortable, with a delicious meze breakfast included. We did the hot air balloon trip early in the morning, of the second day; and saw the sunrise with the changing light on the unique landscape of Cappadocia below us. He took us on a gentle hike through this flower-and butterfly-filled landscape, (I loved this!) and to the extensive bronze-age underground city. During our trip we saw, up close, the extraordinary sculptured landscape of this region – a crossroad of civilisations over thousands of years – and even went inside a rock house, still used by its owners. I would highly recommend this tour – romos travel made sure, as did Aykut, our guide, that we had arrived safely at the airport, and then had been met and delivered to our driver back in Istanbul. For us, it couldn’t have been easier, thanks to all the hard work in the background – we would certainly use Romos Travel again.
What an unforgettable day!
This tour was truly something special. We spent nearly 8 hours exploring Istanbul in the most delicious and immersive way. It all began with a full, proper Turkish breakfast in the Old City—warm bread, olives, cheeses, and more. A real sit-down meal that set the tone for the day.
Our guide, Gurhan, was a gem from start to finish. He welcomed us with such warmth and took us through the Shozy Spice Bazaar, where we lingered in a cozy spice shop while he explained Turkish flavors and how they fit into everyday cooking. That alone gave us such an appreciation for the cuisine.
Then came the ferry ride to the Asian side (Gurhan took care of the tickets, thankfully!), and off we went to explore more neighborhoods, taste authentic dishes, and soak in the stories and history that make Istanbul so layered and rich.
Gurhan’s way of guiding felt like walking through the city with a knowledgeable friend. He pointed out quirky signs and local customs, explained food origins, and introduced us to little treats at just the right moments. His pacing was perfect—not too fast, not too slow—and we always felt taken care of.
One of the highlights? The buffalo milk ice cream with orchid powder. We’d never tasted anything like it before—smooth, stretchy, floral, and incredibly tasty. We were hooked!
Ali even gave us ferry instructions for the way back and handled the return tickets too—so thoughtful. Throughout the day, he shared not just history, but cultural tidbits, recommendations for shops and restaurants, and even where to buy the original Turkish delight.
We couldn’t stop smiling. Everyone in our group felt like we got far more than expected. From exploring both continents to bringing home breakfast goodies he recommended, it was a day filled with flavor, fun, and fantastic memories.
We felt full (literally and figuratively) well into the evening. Gurhan made it easy to enjoy every moment, and we’d follow him again in a heartbeat. One of the best tours we’ve ever taken. Highly, highly recommended!
The afternoon tour was very well organized. We explored Topkapi Palace in great detail, including the harem section and the treasury. The guide shared fascinating stories about the Ottoman sultans and their lavish lifestyle. We had ample time to wander through the palace gardens and take photos of the Bosphorus view from the terrace. Highly recommended for history lovers.
We had a fantastic time on this tour. Our guide was incredibly well-informed and shared so much insight about the region and its historical background. The only real challenge was the intense summer heat. Thankfully, we came prepared with UV-blocking umbrellas, which made a huge difference. I did notice that some others in the group struggled without proper shade or water. If you’re planning a visit to Troy during peak summer months, I’d highly suggest packing wisely — lots of water, high-SPF sunscreen, and a sturdy sun umbrella that won’t flip in the wind. Despite the heat, everything else about the day went smoothly. The transportation was reliable, the ferry was well-coordinated, and lunch was great. The tour company did a superb job overall — would absolutely recommend them!
The ferry ride over was smooth and offered fantastic views of the Golden Horn, and Bosphorus. On the Asian side, we strolled through Üsküdar’s historic mosques, browsed Kadıköy’s vibrant market, and enjoyed tranquil street art in Moda before being dropped back—truly immersive!
From start to finish, our sunset cruise on the Serayaz Yacht was absolutely flawless. We departed right on time from the Halic Pier, which was easy to reach and well-organized for boarding. The yacht itself was truly something special – beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and perfectly maintained. It had both indoor and outdoor areas where we could relax and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, and the upper deck gave us the most incredible panoramic views of Istanbul.
The crew was exceptional throughout the journey. They were so friendly, attentive, and professional without ever being intrusive. They explained the sights along the way, but also gave us plenty of peaceful moments to soak in the views. Sailing along the Bosphorus at sunset was an unforgettable experience. We passed by iconic places like the Galata Tower, Dolmabahce Palace, Ortaköy Mosque, and the stunning Bosphorus Bridge as the sun painted the sky in shades of pink and orange. Seeing both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul from the water gave us a new appreciation for the city’s beauty.
We also decided to add the optional dinner on board, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made. Dining on the deck while watching the city lights reflect off the water was an incredible moment that felt like something out of a movie.

Istanbul never ceases to surprise, but this tour truly showed us its most hidden and enchanting side. We didn’t visit the usual big attractions; instead, we wandered down quiet alleyways and stumbled upon peaceful courtyards, forgotten mosques, and beautiful historical buildings tucked away from the crowds. Our guide Mehmet was incredible—so knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the city’s history.
One of my favorite parts was visiting a tiny old library hidden behind a wooden door I would’ve walked past without noticing. Mehmet explained how these places played an important role in Ottoman intellectual life. We also paused in a shaded courtyard where the only sounds were birds and the distant call to prayer. It felt like we had Istanbul all to ourselves for a little while.
The tour felt very personal and relaxed, with plenty of time to take photos, ask questions, and soak up the atmosphere. I appreciated that the guide adjusted the route a little based on what the group was most interested in.

The performers were talented and really added to the fun vibe of the night. After dinner, many people joined in dancing, creating a lively, joyful atmosphere without feeling forced.
We also spent time on the open deck, taking in the cool Bosphorus breeze and stunning nighttime skyline. That peaceful moment, looking out across both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul, was unforgettable.

What an epic evening cruising the Bosphorus on the Royal Yacht! From the get-go, everything was spot on—friendly crew, chilled vibes, and stunning views of Istanbul’s skyline as the sun went down. I’ve been on sunset cruises before, but this one had something special—the right balance of luxury and comfort without feeling too fancy. The yacht had heaps of space, and the crew were top notch, making sure we were happy without hovering over us. The optional dinner? Absolute winner. Fresh fish straight off the grill, paired with great side dishes and some local wine—it was such a treat. Floating past the lit-up bridges and palaces was pure magic. Sirince is a beautiful village with steep streets, which were a bit of a challenge for my husband – but our guide kindly made sure he rested as necessary and arranged a Turkish coffee experience for us, where the coffee was brewed in hot sand which was brilliant. We also had a wine tasting of the locally produced fruit wines.
It was then back in the minibus to Selcuk where we visited the weekly bazaar – a huge Saturday market for locals, plus a few tourists, where we engaged in a little good humoured bartering/bargaining for a few well priced souvenirs.
There was a great selection of items to buy from traditional tools, cooking equipment and towels to clothing, inexpensive jewellery, and pottery plus wonderful spices, herbal teas and fresh fruit and vegetables. So worth a visit if you are looking for goods or souvenirs at better prices than the Kusadasi shops.
We were then returned to our hotel having spent an interesting, enjoyable and very different day out.
