09:30 AM – Departure & Ozkonak Underground City Your adventure begins with a visit to Ozkonak Underground City, a fascinating multi-level refuge carved into volcanic rock.

Built to protect ancient communities from invasions, Ozkonak features ingenious communication tunnels, rolling stone doors, air shafts, and even defense holes used for spears. Unlike other underground cities, it has narrow, elongated passageways for secret communication and holes above entrances for tactical defense. Walking through its 4 levels, you’ll step back in time and experience the resilience of early civilizations.

Kizilcukur (Red Valley) – 1.5-Hour Hike Next, we head to Kizilcukur Valley, known for its striking red rock formations, hidden cave churches, and panoramic views. This 1.5-hour hike offers a mesmerizing journey through Cappadocia’s unique landscape, where you’ll witness centuries-old rock-carved churches adorned with ancient frescoes.

The valley’s distinctive red hue, caused by iron-rich tuff, makes it one of the most photogenic spots in the region. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or a photography lover, the valley’s breathtaking scenery will captivate you.

Cavusin Village – Ancient Cave Settlement After our scenic hike, we explore Çavuşin Village, one of Cappadocia’s oldest settlements. This historical village, dating back to Roman times, is famous for its abandoned rock dwellings and cave churches. Early Christian communities sought refuge here, carving elaborate religious structures into the rock.

We visit the Church of John the Baptist, one of the region’s most impressive rock-hewn churches, known for its intricate frescoes and panoramic views of Cappadocia. Despite centuries of erosion, parts of the village remain inhabited, offering a rare blend of history and modern life.

Lunch Break – Traditional Cappadocian Cuisine Midday, we take a well-deserved break to enjoy authentic Cappadocian cuisine. A three-course meal featuring local delicacies will be served in a cozy restaurant, allowing you to relax and recharge for the rest of the tour.

Pigeon Valley – Sunset & Final Stop Our journey concludes at Pigeon Valley, named after the thousands of pigeon houses carved into its cliffs. For centuries, locals used pigeon droppings to fertilize vineyards, contributing to Cappadocia’s rich winemaking tradition. The valley’s high vantage points offer stunning panoramic views, making it one of the best locations to witness the sunset over Cappadocia’s surreal landscape.
