The Private Highlights of Cappadocia Tour begins at 10:00 AM from your hotel in Goreme. If you are staying in another town, your exact pickup time will be confirmed upon booking.

The first stop is the Goreme Open Air Museum, Cappadocia’s most significant historical site. This vast monastic complex features nine rock-cut churches, adorned with vibrant frescoes dating back over 1,000 years. Designated as a National Monument in 1963, it was later added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1985.

Your guide will provide insight into the history and cultural significance of this remarkable site. After spending approximately 1.5 hours at the museum, we will continue to Love Valley Panorama Point, offering spectacular views of Cappadocia’s unique conical fairy chimneys and a stunning side perspective of Red and Rose Valleys.

Next, we will visit Pasabag Fairy Chimneys, also known as Monks Valley, where some of the best-preserved fairy chimneys in Cappadocia can be found. These fascinating rock formations include multiple-headed fairy chimneys, and your guide will explain their geological formation along with the history of the region.

Following explorations, we will head to Avanos, a town famous for its 4,000-year-old pottery tradition, inherited from the Hittites. Here, you will witness a live demonstration of kick-wheel pottery-making, and if you wish, you can try shaping clay yourself.

After lunch, we will visit Kaymakli Underground City, one of the most stunning and complex subterranean settlements in Cappadocia. This underground network features storage rooms, churches, living quarters, and even ancient vineyards, showcasing the ingenuity of ancient civilizations that sought refuge here.

The final stop of the tour is Pigeon Valley, where you will enjoy a panoramic view of Uchisar Castle, Cappadocia’s highest rock-hewn fortress. The valley is named after the thousands of pigeon houses carved into the rocks, which were once used by locals to collect pigeon droppings for fertilizer.

By 5:00 PM, we will conclude the tour and return you to your hotel, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Cappadocia’s natural wonders and cultural heritage.
