You will have approximately one hour to explore the chapel and surroundings, experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of this sacred site. A short five-minute drive brings you to the upper gate of Ephesus, where your walking tour begins.

Your private driver will meet you at the lower gate while you explore on foot. The two-hour guided tour takes you through the highlights of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. Before entering, you will have a brief stop at the upper souvenir area, with additional shopping opportunities at the lower exit.

As your guide leads you through Ephesus, key highlights include: The Great Theatre, originally built in the 3rd century BC, later expanded by the Romans, and capable of seating 25,000 people. It is significant in Christian history as the site where Saint Paul the Apostle preached to the Ephesians.

As you exit Ephesus, there will be a stop at the souvenir area, where restrooms and small shops are available. A short five-minute drive brings you to the Ephesus Museum, redesigned in 2014 to showcase artifacts discovered during excavations. This museum offers a deeper insight into the daily life, culture, and artistic achievements of Ephesus.

Key exhibits include: Artemis statues, symbols of fertility and protection in ancient Ephesus. Marble busts of Socrates and Emperor Marcus Aurelius, reflecting the artistic craftsmanship of the time. An intricately carved ivory frieze from the Terrace Houses. A bronze Egyptian priest statue, showcasing Ephesus’ cultural connections.

Your guide may also introduce you to local cultural experiences, such as visits to a weaving school or a ceramic art center, where Turkish artisans showcase their skills. The tour concludes with a return to Kusadasi.
