Meet your professional guide and drive to Ephesus, one of the greatest ancient cities of the classical world. Originally a thriving Greek settlement and later a major Roman city, Ephesus played a central role in the history of Asia Minor.
During your guided tour, stroll along the well-preserved marble streets, passing the remarkable Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Trajan Fountain. As you explore the city, you will encounter the grandeur of its monumental structures, including the Great Theater, where St. Paul famously preached to the early Christians.
After discovering the highlights of ancient Ephesus, enjoy an open buffet lunch at a local Turkish restaurant, offering a variety of traditional regional dishes. In the afternoon, visit a carpet cooperative to observe the intricate art of Turkish carpet weaving. Learn about the centuries-old techniques still used today to create these world-famous handmade carpets.
Continue your journey to the charming village of Sirince, located approximately 12 kilometers from Ephesus and 30 kilometers from Kusadasi. Originally called “Çirkince” (meaning “ugly” in Turkish) by freed Greek slaves seeking to protect their hidden paradise from outsiders, the village was later renamed “Sirince” (“pretty”) as visitors realized its true beauty.
Perched on a mountainside, Sirince offers breathtaking views of vineyards, peach orchards, and lush olive groves. The village is renowned for its locally produced fruit wines, olive oils, and handmade crafts. Wander through its narrow cobbled streets, lined with traditional stone houses, and enjoy the authentic atmosphere of rural Turkish life.
At the end of the day, attend a lively Leather Fashion Show, where you will see stylish examples of Turkish leather craftsmanship in a fun and entertaining presentation. Return to your hotel with unforgettable memories of ancient history, authentic culture, and beautiful countryside.

We were picked up by our guide Polat and driver spot on time, in a modern air conditioned minibus vehicle.
We were privileged to have a personal tour with Polat, our guide which was interesting and great fun.
Sirince is a beautiful village with steep streets, which were a bit of a challenge for my husband – but our guide kindly made sure he rested as necessary and arranged a Turkish coffee experience for us, where the coffee was brewed in hot sand which was brilliant. We also had a wine tasting of the locally produced fruit wines.
It was then back in the minibus to Selcuk where we visited the weekly bazaar – a huge Saturday market for locals, plus a few tourists, where we engaged in a little good humoured bartering/bargaining for a few well priced souvenirs.
There was a great selection of items to buy from traditional tools, cooking equipment and towels to clothing, inexpensive jewellery, and pottery plus wonderful spices, herbal teas and fresh fruit and vegetables. So worth a visit if you are looking for goods or souvenirs at better prices than the Kusadasi shops.
We were then returned to our hotel having spent an interesting, enjoyable and very different day out.
Walking through Ephesus felt like stepping back in time. Our guide explained every detail with passion.
I can’t believe how well-preserved Ephesus is. The Terrace Houses are an extra must-see!
Great value for such a comprehensive tour. Highly recommend this for first-timers to Turkey.
From the Library of Celsus to peaceful Sirince, this was a highlight of our entire vacation!
Sirince’s narrow streets and handmade shops were adorable. A nice way to end a cultural day.
A perfect mix of history and village life. Ephesus ruins were absolutely breathtaking.
So grateful for the small group setting — it felt personal and unrushed.
