Tour Highlights
Sirince Village, Wine Tasting in Şirince Village
Discover the charming village of Sirince, famous for its fruit wines, olive oils, and mountain views. Enjoy a peaceful stroll through traditional streets and scenic landscapes.
Located just 12 kilometers from Ephesus and 30 kilometers from Kusadasi, Sirince is a charming village with a fascinating history. Originally named “Çirkince,” meaning “ugly” in Turkish, the village was settled by freed Greek slaves who chose the name to discourage outsiders from discovering their hidden paradise.
Over time, visitors realized that the village was anything but ugly and renamed it “Şirince,” meaning “pretty.” Perched on a mountain slope, Sirince offers breathtaking views of vineyards, olive groves, and lush peach orchards along the way. The village is renowned for its locally produced wines, olive oils, and fresh garden produce.
A visit to Sirince promises magnificent scenery, peaceful streets lined with traditional houses, local handicrafts, and an authentic taste of rural Turkish life. The journey itself, with panoramic views of the fertile countryside and rolling hills, is as memorable as the village itself.
