After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the ancient ruins of Hierapolis. Explore the impressively preserved Necropolis, the Main Street and its monumental gates, the thermal baths, and the intriguing Devil’s Hole.
Continue to the grand Roman Theater, one of the best-preserved examples of ancient theater architecture. Pamukkale’s terraces are formed by travertine, a sedimentary rock created by mineral-rich waters emerging from natural hot springs. The area hosts 17 thermal springs, with water temperatures ranging from 35°C to 100°C.
As the water flows across the plateau, it deposits calcium carbonate, creating the dazzling white formations that resemble frozen waterfalls. You will also have the opportunity to swim or enjoy a therapeutic bath in the hot spring mineral pools of a hotel, where the legendary healing waters have been enjoyed since ancient times.
