Meet your guide at Kusadasi Port and embark on a journey to the ancient Roman city of Ephesus, which later became a major Roman city on the west coast of Asia Minor. Once in Ephesus, take a walk through history as you pass iconic landmarks like the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Trajan Fountain.
Continue strolling along the ancient marble streets until you reach the Great Theater, where St. Paul is believed to have preached. The site offers spectacular views and a deep connection to the city’s religious and cultural past.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit a traditional carpet cooperative where you can witness the intricate process of Turkish carpet-making, a centuries-old art form passed down through generations. Next, venture to Sirince, a delightful village located 12 km from Ephesus and 30 km from Kusadasi.
This village was once called Cirkince (“ugly”) by its original settlers, freed Greek slaves who wanted to keep outsiders away. Over time, however, it became clear that Sirince, with its stunning views of vineyards, peach trees, and olive groves, was anything but ugly. The village is known for its homemade wines, olive oils, and fresh produce.
